This is on the ferry departing from horseshoe bay here in Vancouver. I never get tired of taking these ferries on a sunny day. Do you think the people who live in horseshoe bay get ever tired of this?
Don’t forget to like and share 🙂

Vancouver Block is a building on Granville st. I’m going to pretend like I know something about the architectural history in Vancouver but we all know that would be a big fat lie. Google is a big reason why one might sound knowledgable sitting behind a screen. It was built by a company run by a brit named John Parr who built lots of things in this beautiful city. It is designated as a heritage building by the City of Vancouver and must have been one of the tallest in the city when built back in 1912. Maybe not the oldest or the most spectacular building around the world but it does stand out in this young city, if you lift your head up that is. I guess happy 100th birthday, whenever that day happens to be.
I find steam clocks to be pretty cool. They aren’t some sophisticated piece of machinery; the steam engine technology has been around forever. But maybe that’s exactly what makes it so cool. In the world where so much of our life is being computerized, an odd mechanical watch is a bit of a rarity. That lady looks interested.
I’m going to cheat a little once again and post another old photograph. What can I say, I’ve been a little lazier than usual lately. I’m sure that many of you haven’t seen this anyway. As the name suggest this is Jericho beach in Vancouver.
This was during one of the first days of the occupy protests in Vancouver. I shot it as I was passing through on my way home. Whether you support the movement or are against it, you can’t fault this particular message. More heart to all of you in 2012!!!
