Antwerp(en) Promenade

When I happen to lose myself in photographers’ blogs I often enjoy reading about their thought process before they snap their shot. I sometimes wonder if I should do the same with my posts. But then I realize that at times there isn’t a whole lot of thinking going on before I take my shots. Or at least not in the traditional sense. I don’t usually set up my shots or spend much time thinking about my composition or lighting. That’s not necessarily a good thing, especially considering that I do a lot of HDR. I believe there are times when that would be a very smart thing to do. But I do enjoy the simplicity of not overthinking it and the randomness that comes with it, even if it comes at an expense of having a better photo. Sometimes stoping to think about my shot twice does take away some pleasure.

This is in beautiful Antwerp, Belgium and a good example of one of those thoughtless photos when I just snap what pleases my eye at a particular moment, trying to capture the scene as I see it.
