This is also around the Gandan Khiid Monastery in Ulaanbaatar, like the previous Mongolian post. The holy place isn’t just for religious gatherings but is also a place for many others to come and enjoy the day.
Tiananmen square and Film Effect
I’m slightly late with my post. I blame the exams 🙂
Lately I’ve been playing around editing pictures and found myself leaning towards some sort of film effect, making the photo look like it’s a single frame from a movie. Here’s an example of it from the Tiananmen square in Beijing.
Buddhist School
This is a buddhist school in one of the religious buildings around the Gandan Khiid Monastery in Ulaanbaatar (or Ulan Bator), Mongolia. In between their moments of seriousness these kids kept poking each other for a laugh. I guess kids are always kids, eager to laugh no matter what religion or where they are.
From the Top
It’s the end of the week which means this will be my last Lijiang post…..for now. Lijiang is hilly in some places giving for interesting walks and some interesting views on the way down. Lately I’ve been leaning more towards the black and white editing. Though this isn’t completely black and white here’s the link for the coloured version if you’re not feeling the darker tones 🙂

Lijiang Roofs at Night
I feel like staying on Lijiang for now. This China week is slowly turning into Lijiang week. Maybe that’s how I should post things from now, stay on one spot for a few days instead of constantly jumping from one country to another.
These are traditional Chinese houses, which look very nice during the day. But at night they transform into something more than just pleasant architecture.
Don’t forget to share if you like it 🙂
