Ljubljana main square panorama

I don’t shoot very often in the dark for whatever reason. I guess I just don’t carry my camera when go out in the evenings, maybe I’m too lazy because it sometimes implies carrying a tripod. This was one time that I did have it with me during a late night walk through Ljubljana. The main square looked so much emptier, more inviting and interesting in a different way so I decided to set up my mini tripod (which got later confiscated in sweden) and took a few shots. I think this was one of my very first panorama shots. It’s a little crooked and I didn’t quite get all of the buildings in but I think it’s still alright. (click on the pic to enlarge)

Reaching for the dark skies

I don’t own a wide enough lens so sometimes I have to take multiple shots and stitch them together to get what I want. It’s not quite the same but still a very helpful trick. This slightly complicates things for me as I often take 3 exposures of the same thing. So this technically is 9 shots layered and stitched together. With a lot of people moving around and no tripod this could get tricky. You have to hold your breath and make sure you don’t move a muscle, not even slightly. I’ve been shooting hdr without a tripod for a little while now and think I’m getting much better at this whole holding your breath part of it.

Ernest has been here

Pamplona is famous for its encierro; the running of the bulls and the festival of San Fermín, which a lot of people claim to be the craziest party/festival in the world. But some people better know it through Hemingway and his travels in northern Spain, which inspired some of his books. So when standing in the central plaza, not too far from a little cafe named after him I couldn’t help but spare a thought that Hemingway must have surely been here.

Vancouver library

It was a beautiful autumn day when I visited my friend who lives right in front of the library. Luckily I had my camera in my backpack to capture this beautiful view from his balcony.

Here’s an extra panoramic pic of the same view. Came out a little differently than I expected but still a cool view.  Don’t forget to like and share:)

Tightrope walker

This is on Margaret island (Margit-sziget) in Budapest. It’s an island park on Danube, which splits Buda and Pest. A great place to spend a sunny beautiful day. And a great place to run into all sorts of interesting people. That particular day this was one of the those people to get and fix my attention.
